Every element of every belt we make is selected, prepared, and finished for the specific customer who ordered it — from the raw metal we engrave to the leather strap we cut. These plates are cast from quality brass/zinc alloy, polished to a rich gold or silver finish, and engraved using precision CNC tooling. The greater depth of material allows our CNC machines to engrave with extraordinary definition — we can reproduce detailed portraits, intricate logos with fine lines, complex artwork, and multi-layer designs that simply are not possible at lower thicknesses. Genuine Leather Straps — Built to Last
The strap is what connects a championship belt to the person wearing it. It is, quite literally, the foundation of the piece. At Champion Belts, we use only genuine leather — real animal leather, tanned and finished to a professional standard. We do not use synthetic leather, PU leather, bonded leather, or any other substitute material. If we say genuine leather, we mean genuine leather.
Each strap is cut and finished specifically for the belt ordered. Standard strap colors are black, brown, and red. Custom strap colors are available on request. The straps are adjustable to accommodate a range of waist sizes, from small to extra-large. Every buckle and closure is metal — no cheap plastic components.
The genuine leather strap is not just a quality statement — it's a functional choice. Real leather holds its shape, ages gracefully, and can last for decades with basic care. From Your Vision to Your Championship Belt — The Design Process
Understanding how we make your belt helps explain why our belts feel different from anything you'll find mass-produced. Every step of our process is built around your specific order — not a batch of inventory.
Step 1: You Submit Your Design
Upload your logo, text, and preferences via our product page customization fields or through our contact form. The more detail you provide, the better. Tell us what you want on the main plate, the side plates, the strap color, the plate thickness, and any specific design inspirations you have in mind.
Step 2: We Create Your Digital Proof
Within 24 hours of your order, our design team creates a full-color digital mockup of your championship belt. This is a detailed rendering showing the exact layout, text placement, logo position, plate shape, and engraving style. You see exactly what your belt will look like before any manufacturing begins.
Step 3: You Approve the Design
We send your proof to the email address provided at checkout. You review it and either approve it or request changes. Revisions are free at this stage — we work with you until the design is exactly right. We will never start cutting metal until you've given us the green light.
Step 4: CNC Engraving Begins
Once you approve your design, your approved artwork is programmed into our CNC engraving machines. The raw plate blanks are secured, and the engraving begins. For 2mm plates, this is a clean single-pass precision engraving. For 4mm plates, the process allows for deeper cutting and better shadow contrast. For 4mm HD plates, the machine makes multiple passes at different depths, creating the dramatic three-dimensional relief that defines our premium tier. Every plate is engraved fresh — it is not a stock plate with swappable inserts. It is metal, cut specifically to your order.
Step 5: Assembly, Quality Control, and Dispatch
After engraving, the plates are cleaned, finished, and assembled with the leather strap and hardware. Before your belt leaves our workshop, it undergoes a quality control inspection. Plates are checked for engraving accuracy against your approved proof. The strap is inspected for finish and proper attachment. The hardware is checked for fit and security. Only belts that pass this inspection leave our workshop. Once dispatched, you receive a tracking number and email confirmation. Your belt ships free to the USA.
No Ready-Made Plates. Ever.
Some championship belt manufacturers use a hybrid model: pre-cast generic main plates with interchangeable side panels or text inserts. This allows them to produce belts faster and cheaper, but the result is a belt that is fundamentally the same as every other belt they make, with your name stamped on a replaceable panel.
At Champion Belts, we do not do this. Every plate we make — the main plate, the side plates, the text panels — is engraved fresh from a raw plate blank, based on your specific approved design. The main plate of your belt has never existed before the day we made it. It will never exist again. It was made for you.
